Your Social Media Cheat Sheet Part II

In this second installment of Your Social Media Cheat Sheet, we are going to take a look at two of Google’s powerhouse social media platforms. Google owns Google+ and YouTube and the two are very much intertwined even though Google doesn’t like to admit it. Both are very useful for small to medium, even enterprise level businesses and both can be difficult to understand. Let’s take a look at each one separately to give you a better understanding of what they are and what they can do for your business.

YouTube, as everyone already knows, is a popular video sharing platform that offers user-generated content, video clips and video blogging capabilities. YouTube is one of the best online venues to build your brand through video blogs, tutorials and actual product usage and reviews. It can provide business owners with many easy to use features that will make them look like a pro in no time. YouTube can be a business owner’s best friend and, at the same time, their worst enemy. YouTube is more difficult to become successful at due to the fact that traffic is limited to the site itself and it is very hard to redirect traffic back to your primary website.

Google+ is Google’s answer to Facebook and it offers its users many of the same features and capabilities including profile creation, status updates, circles, hangouts and sparks. For business purposes, Google+ makes it very easy to interact with customers and can be fully integrated with all of Google’s other offerings making it much more streamlined than any other social media platform available.

The drawbacks to Google+ include difficult administration services and the fact that some small business owners are finding that their clients and customers won’t use Google+ as it is not yet as popular or well known as Facebook.
In our opinion, any of the social media offerings available today can help or hurt your small business; it’s all in the way you use it which makes it more important than ever to hire an effective social media management company like Social Buzzing. We will help you get the most out of your social media accounts and help you avoid the pitfalls of making a disastrous mistake in the process.
